Radiographer (RAD Tech), Part Time Our fast-paced Radiology department is looking for top skilled Radiographer. Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Part Time, 16 Hours, Days Radiology Department Highlights: Variety of exams performed: Fluoroscopy, OR, Trauma Comprehensive Stroke Center Trauma Center Fast paced high acuity and volume facility around 150 exams a day Collaborative Radiologist Group Here's What You Need Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required or Associate's Degree preferred 1 Year radiologic technologist experience preferred CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists 6 Months required and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required What You Will Do - Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam - Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest - Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations - Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors - Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique - Maintain attention to details - Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed - Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS - Correctly send and transfer images to PACS - Print laser images from modality or PACS - Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.
