With us, you have the ultimate opportunity to gain new and challenging work experiences and create an unparalleled, direct impact.Job Title: Manager, LogisticsLocation: Dallas, TX (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)Job DescriptionThe Manager, Logistics will be responsible for efficient cost and effective transportation services by ensuring reliable, flexible and high-quality service for transportation operations. This includes timely and accurate delivery of inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments to ensure compliance with company and customer policy and procedures. This position will also review process flows and conduct spend, lane and mode analysis with the goal of optimizing efficiency and reducing cost without compromising quality of service keeping customer needs / requirements on the forefront. Additionally, this role will lead contract management and negotiations with transportation service providers.Key Responsibilities * Manage transportation spend of $35M+ (inbound & outbound freight), all modes of transportation and related services to ensure efficient cost and effective service for the business and our customers. * Oversee the day-to-day transportation operations and strategy formulation, working closely with 3PL partners to leverage carrier base through consolidation and effective risk management. Identify and recommend process changes, which facilitate freight savings, improve on time delivery performance to enhance the overall experience for our customers. * Seek solutions to improve key supply chain performance metrics (i.e. on-time delivery, cost, inventory management, feasibility, etc.). Meet with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure alignment and operational readiness to meet the needs of the business and customers. * Liaise with Customer Centric Supply Chain Team to leverage knowledge of customer operations to meet stringent OTD & other vendor compliance metrics through 2-way sailing schedules, retail consolidators and other modes of transportation. * Address and resolve any issues escalated through the customer service and distribution organization. Key issues escalated with recommended actions through senior management within function as well as cross functionally to resolve root-cause issues. * Manage the documentation, monitoring and coordination of all import and export shipments ensuring any deviations/exceptions communicated efficiently & effectively to all stakeholders. Ensure issues are addressed effectively and CAPA actions are put in effect. Accompany QA on transportation service provider internal audits. * Lead contract management and negotiations with transportation service providers and ensure compliance with procurement policy and company ethics/code of conduct. Ensure agreed upon SLAs on all transportation contracts. * Stay abreast of regulatory and legal requirements of shipment of goods and monitor our product process to ensure compliance. Including but not limited to: monitors and controls load efficiency, dispatch time and temperature compliance requirements. * Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required. * 8+ years of related operational experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/health care industry managing third-party logistics within a supply chain environment. * Proven ability to manage team, communicate across all levels of the organization, developing and working with cross-functional team members effectively. * Proven ability to manage change and implement process improvements using project management methodology. * 3+ years of people management experience required, with demonstrated ability to lead project teams or cross-functional teams of non-direct reports. * Strong understanding of key supply chain performance levers (i.e. on-time delivery, cost, inventory management, feasibility, etc.) * Preferred experience with Lean or Six Sigma tools and methodologies. * Must have working experience in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), MS Office Software (e.g. Word, Excel, Power-Point, Teams) and some experience with OTBI report writer or similar reporting tools. * Oracle Cloud experience preferred. * APICS / ASCM Certification in Supply Chain Management or other professional designation preferred. * There may be some overnight travel required as well as the ability to work irregular hours on occasion.What We Offer in ReturnYou will be working for an organization that embraces diversity & inclusion and believe we will deliver better outcomes by reflecting the perspectives of our diverse customer base.Next Steps * If your profile is a match, we will invite you for a first virtual conversation with the recruiter. * The next step is a virtual conversation with the hiring manager * The final step is a panel conversation with the extended teamOur people make a differenceAt Galderma, you'll work with people who are like you.
